Joyntly at ATD Leadership Development Day

On June 8, Joyntly CEO and co-founder Kate Frear, PhD, joined the Association for Talent Development’s Leadership Development Day to explore a practical question: How can organizations help leaders keep growing long after a workshop, coaching session, or training program ends?

In her session, “Small Nudges, Big Impact: The Science Behind Engagement in Manager Development,” Kate shared how behavioral nudges can help bridge the gap between learning and doing.

Timely, personalized prompts can encourage managers to apply what they have learned, practice relevant behaviors, and build new habits in the flow of work. Rather than treating development as a one-time event, this approach supports leaders as they turn growth goals into ongoing action.

At Joyntly, we believe leadership development is most effective when it extends beyond a single learning experience. Our personalized, actionable approach helps busy managers focus on the behaviors most relevant to their growth, then supports them with weekly actions and reflections that make practice more manageable and sustainable.

Thank you to ATD and everyone who joined the session. We enjoyed sharing the science behind nudge learning and discussing how small, consistent actions can support meaningful leadership growth.
